A Wonderful Day at Bromsgrove Hotel
Wendy and Michael’s wedding at the Bromsgrove Hotel and Spa was a great example of how well a full-day, single-location wedding can work. With everything taking place in one venue, the day flowed easily from start to finish.
The weather held nicely too, which made a big difference when it came to making use of the outdoor space.
A full day at Bromsgrove Hotel and Spa
I arrived at 13:30, with the ceremony set for 14:00. There was already a calm build-up, with guests arriving and settling in ahead of the day.
The ceremony itself was relaxed and well-paced, finishing at around 15:00. From there, guests made their way to the bar and patio area, enjoying drinks and conversation while everything transitioned into the next part of the day.
Wedding photos in the hotel gardens
With the weather on our side, we headed to the rear garden for photographs. This is always a great option when everything is on-site, no travel, no disruption, just a smooth continuation of the day.
We kept the group shots organised and efficient, followed by some relaxed portraits of Wendy and Michael. Nothing overly staged, just simple, natural moments while they took a bit of time together.
Speeches, wedding breakfast and a first for me
The speeches began at 16:30, leading into the wedding breakfast at 17:00. Everything stayed nicely on schedule, which helped keep the energy of the day consistent.
One standout moment for me was being invited to sit on the head table during the meal. It’s not something that happens often, and it gave me a completely different perspective on the day, being part of it rather than just documenting it.
Evening celebrations and first dance
As the evening guests arrived, the atmosphere picked up again. The disco got underway, and at around 20:00, Wendy and Michael took to the floor for their first dance.
Shortly after, they cut the cake and the evening celebrations carried on, with everyone fully settled into the night.
I stayed until 21:30, capturing those final moments before heading back to Gloucester.
A Bromsgrove wedding that flowed from start to finish
Wendy and Michael’s wedding shows just how effective a single-venue wedding can be. Ceremony, drinks, photos, meal and evening celebrations all in one place, with no need to move guests around.
It keeps things simple, reduces stress, and allows everyone to focus on enjoying the day.
