Hi, I’m Andy, a wedding photographer based in Launceston and the photographer behind Wedding Days by Andy Davies Photography. I bring a fun, friendly and slightly cheeky energy to every wedding I photograph. I’m not the kind of photographer who disappears quietly into the background all day. I’m there helping things flow, getting people laughing and making sure we capture some fantastic moments along the way.
For me, a wedding is about people and personality – the laughter between friends, the proud looks from family members, the big celebrations and the quieter moments in between. My approach combines natural storytelling with natural documentary and idyllic editorial portraits, so you’ll have plenty of genuine moments alongside the beautiful portraits you’ll want to frame and keep.
Being based in Launceston means I’m lucky to photograph weddings across Cornwall and the surrounding countryside, capturing everything from intimate celebrations to big, energetic wedding days. Every couple and every wedding is different, and my aim is always the same: to create photographs that reflect the atmosphere, emotion and character of your day.
Most of all, I want couples to enjoy the experience. Weddings should feel fun, not like a photoshoot that takes over the day. I’ll guide you when needed, keep things relaxed, and make sure we create photographs you’ll still love decades from now.

I was going to say that anyone can take photos but then that flippant statement detracts from the skills, patience and experience that Andy displayed on our wedding day. So, maybe not just anyone can take photos of such special occasions but I am confident that not everyone can make you feel as comfortable as Andy made us feel. From the moment we spoke I knew I wanted Andy to be the photographer to capture our special day. Andy is super friendly, he has a very relaxed, chilled, kind demeanour which ensured all of our guests were at ease with having their photos taken. A friend of ours found Andy on fb when we were looking for a photographer to shoot our wedding and I’m so glad she did! Andy was brilliant from the get go, very professional but more importantly he is so easy going and listens to your little comments that gives him more of an insight into what we may like without saying it. He also sent our 4 year old a book on Space (gave us options of what book) so he felt included and got something in the post he was very excited when he got it! It’s the little things he did that really made working with him so enjoyable. Our day didn’t go to plan at all and Andy just rolled with it and suggested we split the time we had left and met us on the beach the next day instead so we could still get the pictures we wanted. The lengths this man will do to ensure you get what you want is just amazing and we were honestly so so impressed with his work and what he was able to capture. Book Your Wedding
Once you’re ready to book, I’ll grab a few details, pop you out a Terms of Business & invoice put your date into my diary, and set up a shared communication group so we can remain organised and in touch.

Organise
Around two months to six weeks before your wedding day, we’ll have your pre‑wedding consultation & photoshoot, when we’ll sort out the details making sure everything’s clear and organised for the big day.
