A Wonderfully Personal Moment
Simone and Adrian’s wedding was one that felt personal from the very beginning. Not just for them, but for me as well.
Their ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church, a place I know incredibly well. It’s the church in the area where I grew up, and somewhere I’ve been many times over the years. From school events and services to family moments like watching my nephews in productions, it’s always been part of the backdrop of life. So to return there as a wedding photographer was a proud moment.
A meaningful ceremony at Holy Trinity Church Longlevens
There’s something different about photographing a wedding in a place that already holds memories. You see it differently. You notice more.
Simone and Adrian’s ceremony was warm, relaxed and full of genuine emotion. Being surrounded by family and friends in a familiar setting gave the whole experience a sense of comfort and connection.
A real highlight was Simone’s uncle, who sang and played the piano during the ceremony. It added something deeply personal to the moment, the kind of touch you simply can’t replicate. It wasn’t just music in the background, it was part of the story, and you could feel what it meant to everyone in the room.
For couples planning a Holy Trinity Church Longlevens wedding, it’s a venue that offers both character and a real sense of community.
From Longlevens to the Gloucester Irish Club
After the ceremony, we made our way to the reception at the Gloucester Irish Club on Horton Road. It’s a venue that knows how to host a proper celebration.
As soon as everyone arrived, the atmosphere shifted. The formalities gave way to laughter, conversation and the kind of energy you want at a wedding.
A relaxed and lively wedding reception in Gloucester
The Irish Club provided the perfect setting for a laid-back reception. No stiffness, no pressure, just people enjoying themselves.
This is where weddings really come into their own. The in-between moments, the interactions, the laughter across the room.
A wedding that felt like home
This wedding wasn’t just about the locations. It was about connection.
For Simone and Adrian, it was about bringing their people together. For me, it was about returning to a place that had been part of my own life for years and capturing something new within it.
