An intimate Brickhouse Vineyard wedding
Melissa and Richard’s wedding at Brickhouse Vineyard in August 2025 was one of the most intimate weddings I photographed that year.
With only Richard’s teenage daughter, Melissa’s dog and two members of staff acting as witnesses, the day felt more like a true elopement than a traditional wedding. It was quiet, personal and completely centred around the two of them.
I was only there for two hours, but sometimes that is all it takes to tell the story properly.
An intimate ceremony at Brickhouse Vineyard
When I arrived at Brickhouse Vineyard, the setting immediately stood out.
The path leading to the ceremony room was lined with small trees, green leaves and seasonal flowers, creating a soft and beautifully natural entrance. It felt private without feeling closed in, which suited the day perfectly.
Melissa and Richard arrived together, but each chose to walk down the path individually before the ceremony began, with Melissa walking with her dog by her side, which was one of those details that made the whole wedding feel even more personal. Seeing her share that moment with her dog was something I genuinely loved photographing.
Inside the ceremony room, Richard’s daughter was waiting, along with a couple of venue staff who were there as witnesses.
Photographs in the gardens
After the ceremony, we stepped back outside to the path in front of the ceremony room for more photographs.
Because the setting was already so picturesque, there was no need to overcomplicate anything. The surrounding greenery and flowers gave us a beautiful backdrop that matched the calm feel of the day.
We took relaxed portraits of Melissa and Richard together, along with a few photographs including the small family that had shared the day with them.
That simplicity made every image feel more meaningful.
Drone photographs in the vineyard
From there, we walked through into the vineyard itself.
Melissa had mentioned how much she loved drone footage, so I made sure to spoil her with some aerial photographs and video while we had the chance.
The vineyard at Brickhouse offers a completely different perspective from above, and with the August light still soft around us, it created some stunning final images.
It was the perfect way to finish such a relaxed and thoughtful wedding
A wedding that felt completely personal
Melissa and Richard’s wedding at Brickhouse Vineyard was proof that a wedding does not need a large guest list to feel special.
With just the people who mattered most, a beautiful setting and a ceremony that felt true to them, the whole day had a calmness that stayed with me long afterwards.
