Beautiful in Bude
Janette and David’s wedding in Bude was small, simple, and quietly meaningful. With around 10 guests in attendance, it was a day focused entirely on what mattered most, the two of them and the people closest to them.
Held in March, the weather was dry but only just holding on. There was that sense it could turn at any moment, which added a bit of tension to the day, but also made everything feel more grounded and real.
A ceremony at Bude Methodist Church
The ceremony took place at Bude Methodist Church, a welcoming and understated setting that suited the tone of the day perfectly.
With such a small group, the atmosphere felt calm and personal. There’s no hiding in a wedding like this, every glance, every word, every moment carries more weight.
Janette and David kept things simple, and it worked. The ceremony felt genuine, with a quiet connection between them that didn’t need anything extra.

After the ceremony, we stayed local for photographs, making the most of both the church surroundings and The Falcon Hotel.
With the weather just about holding, we worked efficiently, capturing natural moments without rushing. The light was soft, the atmosphere relaxed, and the smaller group meant we could move easily between locations.
These kinds of weddings often allow for more breathing space. Less structure, more flexibility, and more opportunity to capture things as they really are.
A relaxed reception at The Falcon Hotel Bude
The reception took place at The Falcon Hotel, just a short distance away. It was the perfect fit for a wedding of this size, keeping everything close and easy.
Inside, the day continued in the same way it had started. Relaxed, friendly, and focused on good company rather than formalities.
With only a handful of guests, everyone had the chance to properly spend time together, which always creates a better experience and more meaningful moments.
