Georgia & Mark’s Bude Registry Office Wedding with Canal Photos and Tapas at The Bank
Georgia and Mark’s wedding in Bude was the kind of day that proves you don’t need bright sunshine for beautiful photographs. In fact, the overcast skies worked perfectly, softening the light and creating a calm, relaxed feel from start to finish.
A simple ceremony at Bude Registry Office
The day began at Bude Registry Office, where Georgia and Mark chose to keep things intimate and focused. It was a straightforward ceremony, surrounded by close family and friends, with the kind of atmosphere that felt genuine from the outset.
There’s something about registry office weddings that strips things back to what really matters. No distractions, no pressure, just two people making it official.
Natural wedding photos along Bude Canal
After the ceremony, we headed out towards Bude Canal for photographs. This is one of the best spots in the area for relaxed wedding portraits, especially if you want a mix of water, greenery and open space.
The overcast weather came into its own here. No harsh shadows, no squinting into the sun, just soft, even light that suited the tone of the day perfectly.
Georgia and Mark were able to take a breather, walk together, and enjoy a bit of quiet time while I captured everything naturally. No forced moments, just the two of them as they are.
Drinks at The Falcon Hotel
From the canal, we made our way to The Falcon Hotel for drinks. This is a great stop in the middle of the day, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat and settle into the celebrations.
The atmosphere here was easy going, with guests enjoying a drink and catching up. These are the moments where people start to properly unwind, and it always leads to some of the best candid photographs.
A walk to The Bank at Bude Tapas Restaurant
To round off the day, everyone walked down to The Bank at Bude for food. It’s a brilliant choice if you want something a little different, with a more social and informal feel.
The walk itself added to the story of the day. No rushing around, just moving through Bude together, chatting and enjoying the moment.
At the restaurant, the focus shifted to great food, conversation and a relaxed evening atmosphere. Exactly how it should be.
A relaxed Bude wedding from start to finish
Georgia and Mark’s wedding was simple, thoughtful and completely their own. From a ceremony at Bude Registry Office, to photographs along the canal, drinks at The Falcon Hotel and food at The Bank.
And that overcast sky? It didn’t take anything away. If anything, it added to the mood of the day and created the kind of soft, natural light that works beautifully for wedding photography.
