Keira & Lewis’ Spring Wedding in Cornwall
Keira and Lewis’ wedding in May 2025 was one of those days where everything seemed to fall into place. The weather was stunning from start to finish, and the whole day carried a relaxed atmosphere that made it a pleasure to photograph.
From a traditional church ceremony in Callington to a lively reception in the countryside, it was a wedding full of personality.
A beautiful ceremony at St Melor’s Church
I met everyone at St Melor’s Church in Callington, where Lewis arrived first with his parents and close family. As more guests began to arrive, there was a quiet sense of anticipation building outside the church.
Once most of the guests had taken their seats inside, the bridesmaids and flower girl waited outside for the final arrival.
Then Keira arrived in a stunning vintage car that immediately suited the feel of the day. Before the ceremony began, we took a few photographs of her arriving, along with portraits beside the car and with her bridesmaids and flower girl using the church as a backdrop.
As I stepped inside to wait for the ceremony, I quietly told Lewis that she looked gorgeous and that he had a right treat coming his way.
Confetti and photographs outside the church
After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside the front of the church for photographs.
We captured family groups, relaxed portraits of the two of them, and a confetti throw as Keira and Lewis walked back through their guests.
With the sun shining and the church behind them, it gave us a perfect setting for those first moments as husband and wife.
A countryside reception at Bridestowe Village Hall
From Callington, everyone travelled to Bridestowe Village Hall for the reception.
At first glance it might seem like a simple venue, but the views at the rear were fantastic and made a brilliant backdrop for more photographs later in the day.
It was also one of the more fun receptions I have photographed, with an inflatable slide and a Wipeout-style inflatable hired for the guests. It gave the whole day a playful energy and kept people entertained well into the evening.
A relaxed evening celebration
Food was served as a buffet, drinks flowed from the bar, and the atmosphere stayed relaxed throughout.
There was no sense of rushing from one part of the day to the next. Everyone simply settled in and enjoyed themselves.
As the evening went on, the celebrations carried on into the night, with some guests even staying over in the hall afterwards, which must have made the whole experience even more memorable.
A wedding full of personality
Keira and Lewis created a wedding that felt true to them from beginning to end.
A traditional ceremony at St Melor’s Church, followed by a fun and relaxed reception at Bridestowe Village Hall, gave them the perfect balance of meaningful and memorable.
Add in beautiful weather, incredible views and a day that never took itself too seriously, and it became a wedding that was genuinely enjoyable to be part of.
